Sunil Kashyap has been involved with the precious metals industry in South East Asia since 1995. He has been instrumental in the growth of the bullion business in several Asian countries and has been closely involved with the liberalization process of the Indian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern bullion markets.
He has overseen a precious metals business that operates within a strong regulatory and governance framework in compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act, Conflict-Free Mineral legislation, NSFR rules, OFAC Sanction lists, Reach
legislation, Volcker rule, and Transaction Reporting.
He is a member of the International Advisor’s Committee of the Shanghai Gold Exchange and former Chairman of Bullion Singapore Market Association. He is a former member of Membership Committee of London Bullion Market Association.
Sunil has developed relationships with producers, refiners, shippers, consumers, commercial and central banks in Asia, Australia, Europe, and Middle East. He has hands-on experience of sourcing Dore, refining metal, shipping, and distributing bullion bars across the key markets of Dubai, India, Southeast Asia, and China. He brings an in-depth understanding of the key challenges and market forces influencing participants in the physical gold supply chain.
Sunil holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, and is an engineering graduate from IIT, New Delhi.
Pramod Mohan has twenty five years of experience in the commodities and financial markets in the Indian subcontinent, Far East and Middle East Asia , Australia and Canada.
Pramod, who started his commodities journey with Scotiabank in 1998, was integral to their metal business growth in south India, Singapore and Dubai. Under his leadership, ScotiaBank Dubai became one of the region’s top bullion banks as well as a leading physical metals player in the region between 2006 and 2016. In his most recent role with ScotiaBank, which was based out of Singapore, he drove product development and accelerated global growth initiatives for precious and base metal customers in Asia-Pacific. Pramod’s long stint in Middle East and Asia Pacific has helped to develop robust relationships with producers, refiners, shippers, consumers and commercial banks. His key skill sets include client engagement, business development and project management.
Pramod is involved in various industry forums and is currently Member of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre’s ( DMCC ) independent Governing Committee for responsible sourcing . His previous roles include – member of the Management Committee,Vice Chairman of the Physical committee of the DMCC, physical committee member for DGCX etc.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from India.
Johnson Lewis has twenty nine years of banking experience. He was one of the founding members of ScotiaMocatta’s India operations and had brief stints with the bank’s offices in New York, London, Hong Kong and Dubai.
Johnson spent over 20 years in India with ScotiaMocatta and played a key role in participating and shaping, the Indian bullion business for the bank. He has built deep relationships with regulators, international suppliers, trade partners and service providers. During his tenure with the bank, Johnson extended the scope of bullion desk by building hedging and financial solutions for industrial and corporate clients. He was also involved in developing the Bullion Banking System (MetaGrid) in 2005, which is now the industry standard. Johnson was also a product committee member for MCX and BSE and was part of the Reserve Bank of India’s working group for hedging on Commodity Price Risk.
